So you're interested in frontend development?

Then the E-service is something for you!
The IT service is Kvarteret's IT group and operates all digital tools for Kvarteret. Currently, we focus on troubleshooting, maintaining, and further developing the website you're looking at now. Besides that, we meet regularly for social activities :D

What do we do, and what will you most likely do?
What we primarily do is develop a new website in Astro.js. The website you're looking at now is written in Next.js and uses Directus as a CMS and for data management. All of this runs in Docker containers in Azure app services. We're moving away from this website, but we'll be keeping Azure, and we need you on the team! It's a perfect way to build your portfolio! NB: We're also working on an app written in Flutter, so don't hesitate to apply if you're experienced in that.

What prior knowledge is needed?
Initially, no prior knowledge is required to join, as long as you're interested in learning more about frontend development, especially Astro.js. However, it's recommended that you have experience with JavaScript, as it will make it easier to get into the code from the start. If you already know React, Angular, Flutter, or .Net, this is the perfect place to meet like-minded people!

How much time per week do we expect from you?
We are very flexible regarding weekly workload, but we tend to spend around 2-4 hours a week working on the website. If you want to spend more than that, you are completely free to do so! This usually happens through weekly dugnad (community work), where we meet at Kvarteret to code together, but it can also be done from home, of course.

What can Kvarteret offer?
If you become a member of the IT service, you'll get access to internal prices on all food and drinks you can buy at Det Akademiske Kvarter. Additionally, you'll be invited to internal parties, dinners, and social evenings in general. It's the perfect place to meet new like-minded students!

Where and when do we usually meet?
