University of Bergen

The university of Bergen is, with its 14 800 students and 3 600 employees, a moderately sized european university. Central parts of campus is located in the center of town. The university is both a place to learn and a research institution, producing knowledge in a broad variety of fields. It is organized into seven faculties andf around 40 institutions and vocational centers. 

The University of Bergen is also a part of a global network of students, scientists and knowledge institutions.

Studentsamskipnaden på Vestlandet (Sammen) manages the students welfare for about 30 000 students in Vestland. Our vision is: You will be well as a student in Bergen.

Together with the educational institutions, Sammen works to develop the holistic educational environment for students in Vestland. By offering good welfare arrangements and high quality vocational opportunities, we will in jolly cooperation make Bergen an attractive city for studying. This cooperation happens mainly through Utdanning i Bergen.
