The university of Bergen is, with its 14 800 students and 3 600 employees, a moderately sized european university. Central parts of campus is located in the center of town. The university is both a place to learn and a research institution, producing knowledge in a broad variety of fields. It is organized into seven faculties andf around 40 institutions and vocational centers.

Together with the educational institutions, Sammen works to develop the holistic educational environment for students in Vestland.
